The First Freewave
Today was the first real session with our Freewaves. We had a blast!
We got out at noon and started the session with about 7mph. After some strap adjustments, hanging out, and pumping up kites, the wind started coming up. Travis began his day on the 15m Lithium Light Wind and the 5’8” Underground Freewave. He had so much fun and the wind was only blowing around 10mph. Holy cow, light wind can’t stop us now! I pumped up the 12m Lithium and took the 5’4.” I was loving how smooth the freewave was and how it just glided through the chop. The other thing about it that really struck me was how soft and solid the landings were. As the wind increased to around 15mph, Travis was able to downgrade to the 10m. He thinks that it is going to be his magic kite. We had so much fun today, but we are still trying to figure out what works the best for us. There are so many combinations. One thing is sure, we are loving the freewave!
