Liquid Smoke

Last weekend was C-R-A-N-K-I-N. The wind was blowing so hard at times that the white caps were turning into liquid smoke.

If you sat anything down for more than a minute, you had to excavate it from the sand dune that had recently formed over it. On Saturday, I went to meet the guys at the beach to find that it was blowing much harder than the 20mph I had expected. I arrived to find Travis riding our 4m. What was I supposed to do…..take out the trainer? Instead I took out my camera and snapped a few photos, but everyone was exhausted by the time I arrived. We honestly looked forward to calmer winds on Sunday and that ISN’T something we say very often. Sunday turned out to be almost just as windy! Anyone not on the water was totally sandblasted. I believe Travis and Mitch even ate a good portion of sand along with their chips. At some point in the day, the clip must have popped off of the chip bag, compromising their integrity. Travis asked, “Are the chips supposed to be this crunchy?”
